Scott Cornelius
CEO | Founder

Scott founded Team12Sports to combine his passion for basketball, leadership and the development of young athletes on and off the court. Scott believes that the best coaches have the ability to see not only the reality of where a player currently is but the foresight to envision the kind of player they can become. Every player can get better in the right environment that is both challenging and encouraging.

Rob Marcaletti
Director of Training and Growth

Rob joins the Peninsula Gold team with 25 years of coaching experience for multiple Bay Area basketball programs. He has a genuine passion for the sport and for mentoring our youth. Rob is the Associate Athletic Director at St. Ignatius.

Director of Sports Team Trips

DJ is a gifted coach and basketball skills trainer. As our lead trainer, he ensures every trip contains basketball training that will help push your team to the next level. His passion for people and sports help make every trip a life changing experience.

Rob Marcaletti
Director of Training and Growth

Rob joins the Peninsula Gold team with 25 years of coaching experience for multiple Bay Area basketball programs. He has a genuine passion for the sport and for mentoring our youth. Rob is the Associate Athletic Director at St. Ignatius.

Larisa Nakasone

Larisa Nakasone has a holistic approach to development, not only focusing on basketball skills, but also body health and athleticism, mental training, and self-growth. Her goal is to create a collaborative environment that supports individuals to continuously be better versions of themselves.

Jen Sze-Merrick

As a native to the Bay Area, Jen played three years of varsity basketball at Mills High School. Since Jen's tenure as an athlete, she has coached both boys and girls competitive teams ranging from elementary through high school focusing on development of basketball fundamentals and dynamics to play together as a team.

Ryan Sera

Ryan Sera is originally from the Bay Area and played basketball and golf at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco. Ryan has always had a passion for basketball and still actively plays in local leagues and travels to play in tournaments. He currently coaches the JV boys team at Carlmont High School and the 7th-8th grade girls team at Crystal Springs Uplands Middle School and in the Peninsula Gold Program.

Dimitri Rally

Dimitri competed in football, basketball and ran track & field for Burlingame High School. He received first team all conference recognition in football. He went on to study at The University of Oregon and is now pursuing his master’s in Sport Management at The University of San Francisco.

Nathan Ilunga

Coach Nathan Ilunga was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He is currently a student-athlete pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Finance at City College of San Francisco. Basketball has been his passion since he was young and in addition to playing he loves to coach basketball and soccer to youth in his community.

Alexis Sanders

Alexis played 4 years of high school basketball at Westinghouse College Prep (Chicago, Il) with 3 of the years starting on the varsity team. She also played AAU basketball with Full Package Athletics, one of the premier programs in the midwest.

Matt Edling

Matt Edling is a successful attorney for Sher Edling LLP. But in his free time he enjoys helping students learn and love the game of basketball. You won't see him in a tie on the court, but you will see him passionately coaching his team to become the best version of themselves.

Rob Miles

Rob Miles' 20-year coaching career started when his son was 5 years old. Rob has coached boys and girls from ages 5 through 18 in club, rec. leagues, the YMCA, middle school, and high school. For the past five years, before moving to theBay Area, he was the head basketball coach for the Freshman/Sophomore and JV teams, and the AssistantCoach for the Varsity team at Milken Community Schools in Los Angeles, CA.

Jeff St. Clair

Jeff St. Clair is a lifelong athlete. He was a four sport high competitor in basketball, football, soccer and track and a varsity football letterman. Jeff went on to walk-on to the Iowa State University Football Team, ultimately earning a scholarship as a quarterback and receiving the high scholarship award for the highest GPA on the ISU football team.

Will Evans

Will has over 25 years of experience coaching youth in multiple sports. Through his long history of coaching he has established a philosophy of developing the player first and then the athlete in his or her sport. He focuses on the players mental EQ and IQ to build confident players that succeed individually, on their teams and on and off the court.

Zarian Martin

Following a 3-year Varsity basketball career at Capuchino High School, Zarian began coaching at Burlingame High School while attending San Francisco state University, graduating with a degree in business management. Over the past 5 years at Burlingame, He has served as a Varsity Assistant Coach, contributing to two CCS championships and multiple NorCal state playoff victories.

Sean Watkins

Sean Watkins, a Bay Area native from San Bruno, excelled in both basketball and baseball at Serra High School, earning All-WCAL honors in both sports. He went on to receive a baseball scholarship at Loyola Marymount University, where he achieved Freshman All-American honors and was selected for the All-WCC team. In 2017, Sean was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the Major League Draft.

David Lopez

David Lopez joins Peninsula Gold with 8 years of coaching experience at all High School and AAU levels. He started his coaching career at Hillsdale High School (2018-2023) where he was able to be apart of a SMUHSD league championship , make two CA State Playoff Quarterfinal appearances, and win a CCS championship in 2020. He also was the Director of The Hill AAU program for 3 years.
